Performance Inspired, a consulting firm, publishes yearly surveys that rank the top 25 companies that Americans deem most inspirational. This year’s winner is Microsoft, taking the title from Apple who had two consecutive years of being ranked as America’s most inspiring company.
The survey was conducted online from almost 5,000 consumers. Microsoft has scored a lot of points with consumers for its philanthropic work and earned their respect. Microsoft raised over $1 billion and has donated that to over 31,000 non-profits since the early 80s. In fact, the company will match an employee’s charitable giving dollar for dollar, up to $12,000.
