Dell announces Venue 8 and Venue 7 Android tablets


Dell’s rumored Venue 8 Android tablet has been officially announced, along with a smaller Android tablet named…wait for it… Venue 7. There are also two Windows 8.1 tablets if that is your OS of choice.

The Venue 8 and Venue 7 run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, come with 2GHz Intel Clover Trail processors, and are on the cheap side of affordability. The Venue 8 has an 8 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, 16GB of internal memory, and optional LTE connectivity. While the Venue 7 has a 7 inch display, the same 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, and the same 16GB of internal memory. Both will be available on October 18 in the US and “select countries around the world.” The Venue 7 is $149 for the Wi-Fi-only version, while the Venue 8 is $179.99 for the Wi-Fi-only version.
The two Windows 8.1 tablets are the Dell Venue 8 Pro and Dell Venue 11 Pro. The Venue 8 Pro features a 1280 x 800 pixels screen and costs $299.99. The Venue 11 Pro has a Full HD (1920 x 1080) display for $499.99. They will arrive on the same date and vie for your money. Which will you choose?
