Ultimate Ears is a company that’s been making headphones and portable Bluetooth speakers for a long time. The products the company makes are typically high-end and offer high quality sound. Back in May, the company unveiled the UE Boom portable Bluetooth speaker and this week a smaller UE Mini Boom Bluetooth speaker has launched to go along with it. The Mini Boom is an upgrade to the Logitech UE Mobile Boombox.
The Mini Boom is available in several bright colors and promises clear high sound and deep bass. The internal battery of the speaker promises up to 10 hours of playback per charge and the controls built into the speaker are easy-to-use. The speaker has a wireless Bluetooth range of up to 50 feet. The charging of the internal battery is done via a micro USB port.
The UE Mini Boom can be paired with the second unit using the UE Mini Boom app available for Android or iOS devices. The speaker uses a metal frame and rubber casing making it durable enough to survive use on the road. The speaker also has embedded NFC technology making it easy to pair to NFC compatible phones. The Mini Boom will launch this month for $99.99.
