Hyundai has pulled the wraps off a new concept car that will be on display at the SEMA show in Las Vegas November 5 through the 8. The car is an aftermarket version of the Veloster Turbo envisioned as a time attack racecar for nighttime courses. The car has the nicknameYellowcake thanks to the custom yellow paint job.
The yellow paint is a custom developed color created by Hyundai partner EGR with help from PPG and a company called Barry’s Speed Shop. Since the car is night racing themed it also has a roof mounted LED light bar and custom headlights. The car also has a full roll cage and special coilover suspension.
The stock 1.6-liter turbocharged engine has been tweaked to produce 250 hp. The car also has oversized brakes, a special racing exhaust, and a special body kit and lots of other touches. The car also features a custom interior including racing seats and racing harnesses.
