This seems to be a good quarter for the folks at Cupertino. The company managed to gain the top spot in the Interbrand list, making it the most valuable brand in the world. Later, it was announced that Apple is the top smartphone manufacturer in the US.
Recently, Apple updated its investor relations web page mentioning that the company will hold its quarterly conference call to discuss the company’s performance in the fourth quarter of 2013 (third calendar quarter) on Monday, 28th of October.

We hope to find out everything related to company’s performance, its sales especially of the recently launched iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C in the opening weeks. Although Apple did announce that it managed to sell a record-breaking 9 million iPhones (combined) in the opening weekend.
In the last quarterly call, Apple made some projections and said that it’s expecting revenue of around $34 to $37 billion and a gross margin between 36 and 37 percent. Additionally, Apple expects its expenses to be between $3.9-3.95 billion, with a tax rate of 26.5 percent.
