In addition to launching their new iPad Air tablet and a new iPad Mini equipped with a new retina display, Apple has this week also added a new channel to the Apple TV device in the form of the new iMovie Theater.
The new iMovie Theater has been rolled out by Apple to both the iOS and Mac versions of iMovie in today’s update and has been created to enable users to watch shared clips, movies, and trailers on all Apple devices.
Now projects that are created within the iMovie iOS and Mac applications can easily be shared using the new iTunes Theater feature and can be viewed directly on any Apple TV set-top box that has the latest update installed. iMovie is available for both iOS and Mac, priced at $4.99 or $14.99 respectively from the Apple iTunes Store and Mac App Store.
To enable the new iMovie Theater channel on your Apple TV, simply sign into your iCloud account that is connected to your iOS or Mac version of iMovie and your projects will appear ready to be viewed. Apple explains:
