Beats Music Streaming Coming In The Next Few Months

The guys over at The Next Web have been talking to Beats President and COO, Luke Wood, who has announced that Beats will launch their new music streaming service in the US in the next few months.
The Beats Music service will be available on the web and they will also be releasing apps for Google’s Android platform and Apple’s iOS platform at launch.

Beats will also offer support for Windows 8 in the form of a dedicated application that will be launched at a later date, there was not mention of any other platforms.
Beats have been working on their music streaming service for some time, in July of last year the acquired another music streaming service called MOG in a deal which was worth $14 million.
Beats Music Streaming service will apparently focus heavily on playlists, this is what Luke Wood had to say about the new Beats Music service.
“We’re talking about real depth of personalization and knowing who I am, who you are, what we’re listening to, what we like, what we’ve listened to before and then offering up music that is highly relevant to our taste profile,”
It will be interesting to see what the new Beats Music service is like, and whether it will be able to compete with the likes of Spotify and other streaming services.
