Nest is well know for their Nest Thermostat, and now the company is working on new product for the home, a smart smoke detector, and according to nest this new smoke detector will eventually end up being the smartest smoke detector available.
The Nest smoke detector will be able to detect any trace of smoke or a fire in your home, and on top of that it will be able to detect and also monitor carbon dioxide levels.
The device will be called the Nest Protect, and you will be able to control and monitor the smoke detector with your smartphone, tablet or computer.
There are no details as yet on when the Nest Protect will be available, although the company behind the device said we can expect it soon, as soon as we get some more information we will et you guys know.
